Can you read the cards?
Poker, normally, is played with a deck of 52 cards.
The cards are ranked in following order
Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8 ,7 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
The four suits are
Clubs, Spades, Hearts, and Diamonds
All the suits have equal values. It means that Ace of Spade will have same value as Ace of Diamond.
A hand consists of 5 cards.
Poker Hand Rankings
1) Royal Flush
Highest Card, a Ten-To-Ace straight, all one suite.
2) Straight Flush
A run of five card values all in one suite.
3) Four of a Kind
All four cards of a particular value.
4) Full House
Three of a kind plus a pair, any suite
5) Flush
Five cards (any value) in same suite.
6) Straight
A run of five card values in any suite.
7) Three of a Kind
Three cards of the same value.
8) Two Pairs
A double dose of matching card values.
9) One Pair
A pair with same number/picture value.
10) High Card Only
A hand with no pairs straight or flush, it is just random cards.
